THE BRIEF

This limited edition Paul Smith ‘PS30 Map Dial’ collection of wristwatches came in a series of 3 designs (UK, Italy and France). The task was to create an engaging piece of direct mail to send out to the their subscription list, to market its launch. When the studio photography came back looking quite flat, making it incredibly difficult to see the beautiful detailing on these unique watches, a creative solution was required.

THE SOLUTION

With time being scarce (excuse the pun), a re-shoot wasn’t possible, so I decided to illustrate the detailed 3D maps instead. The end result gave a far more vibrant and engaging piece of marketing, that helped sell-out the collection in record time.
